Waiting For Your Love is the first in a series of highly anticipated releases from Colombian-Australian singer-songwriter ALETHIA, created in collaboration with Brazilian-Australian producer Jahwise. The two artists first connected in 2023 at the Music Victoria Awards, where Alethia was nominated for Best Reggae Song and Jahwise is a three-time winner.

Alethia is a Colombian-born, Melbourne-based singer-songwriter and performer whose music combines reggae, R&B, rock, and electronic elements with a strong Latin American infl uence. ALETHIA is a three-time Latin Grammy nominee singer and a recent Music Victoria Award nominee for best reggae song with “To you” from her self-titled and debut album ALETHIA. She has performed at notable venues and festivals such as The Athenaeum Theatre, St kilda fest, Newport Jazz Festival and has been featured in Rolling Stone AU/NZ. Alethia’s music invites listeners into a world of healing and self-refl ection.

Jahwise, a Brazilian-born bassist and producer based in Melbourne, has become a key fi gure in Australia’s reggae and hip-hop scenes, sharing stages with legends like Steel Pulse and Anthony B. A seasoned session musician and producer, he has recorded at Jamaica’s iconic Tuff Gong Studios with artists including Lutan Fyah and Derajah. Today, he collaborates with reggae all-star crew Crownheights, Marvin Priest, and Rike Ragga, while continuing to craft authentic Roots, Rock, Reggae sounds that resonate globally.
