Alec Smith is a DJ and producer based in Melbourne, Australia.
Known for his club-focused, atmospheric and groovy deep house records, Alec has released on labels all over the globe including home label ‘Valiant’, Julian Millan’s imprint ‘Sun Theory Music’, Danny Serrano’s imprint ‘Serrano’s Kitchen’ and Collective Machine’s imprint, ‘Collective Music’.
His EP, ‘American Express’, on Sydney-based label ’43 Degrees Records’ peaked at #8 on the Deep House Releases chart on Beatport after garnering support from major DJs such as Andrew Meller, Hoten, JPA, DJ Ruby and Township Rebellion.
His style encompasses a wide variety of house subgenres, and his DJ sets are inspired by deep, progressive sounds from the likes of Simon Doty, Serge Devant, Eli Nissan, Dilby and JPA.
With already 2 separate releases this year, Alec has upcoming releases on Visions Music and Valiant to round out 2025.
