Joey is having a Lightbulb moment.

The Naarm based DJ continued his winning streak with (another) SOLD OUT Victory Lap show at The Night Cat in April, now he’s doing one final Fitzroy event for the year: Winter of Disco Content on August 16. Lightbulb will be spinning a marathon five hour set (10pm-3am) with special guests Rob “Millsy” Mills, Kylie Auldist, Country Struts Boot Scooting, Sara Glaidous, Yearning Man, Michael Zap and more. Also, there’s the Runway Slay™, a Screaming Competition, drink specials and a night of healing and group therapy…aka dancing your ass off with friends new and old.

Lightbulb will throw down booty bangers of all genres: pelvic house, edgy funk, Berlin techno, forgotten indie rock hits, disco edits, afro beat and some rib-rattling drum’n’bass.
You may hear music from Pnau, Talking Heads, Blondie, Bontan, David Bowie, Four Tet, Sofia Kourtesis, Cut/Copy, Mele, Bronski Beat, Roni Size, Gesaffelstein, Miss Kittin, The KLF, T-Rek, DMX and whatever the party requires.

As usual, Lightbulb’s DMs are open for requests and if it’s a ripper you may even end up on stage with him.

The carryover Interstitial DJ champion of Golden Plains 24/25 has had a wild 18 months, selling out The Night Cat four times (2400 tickets!), touring regionally through Barwon Heads, Daylesford and Castlemaine and supporting Roisin Murphy, The Presets, Chet Faker and Tash Sultana.
