On Friday the 31st of May at New Guernica, White Noise welcome French-born melodic house and techno legend, Rafael Cerato (DIYNAMIC MUSIC | Ritual) to Melbourne for an exclusive show.
Having already signed to Solomun’s global label Diynamic Music, as well as Systematic Recordings, Get Physical, Stil Vor Talent and Suara, all after only 1 year of launching his solo project, Raphael Duphil is letting the music speak for itself.
And, as usual we’ve acquired some of Melbourne’s best to support. Not to mention the hugely talented Brian Fantana, whose presence in Melbourne seems to become exponentially more salient each week. His beloved sets from the cage at Revolver Upstairs have stirred echoes right through the underground house and techno scene in our city, and so how could we possibly pass on the opportunity to welcome him back to the boards.
Alongside him is White Noise newcomers Dylan Roberts and Dj Fosters, as well as Petar Ang, Alice Campbell AUS and Luke Lawrence.
We can’t wait to see your and your mates, four to the floor, for what will be a huge night of electric vibes, solid tunes and dancefloor mayhem.
RAFAEL CERATO (Diynamic | Ritual)
Following a wide and varied musical upbringing, his latest journey into the darker and more melodic side of electronic music sees him honing his original take on techno and emotional music. Originally as a guitarist, the most important thing for Rafael is the emotion in music.
With constant, massive support from some of the world’s biggest artists, from Solomun, Maceo Plex, Marc Romboy, DJ Tennis, Kolsch, Stephan Bodzin, Technasia, Rodriguez Jr, HOSH, David Squillace, Namito and Nicolas Masseyeff to new a few.. Rafael is ready to explore dance floors all around the world to communicate this passion for music.
BRIAN FANTANA (Thick as Thieves)
Inspiration can sometimes occur at the most unexpected moments, and life decisions can plant the seed towards something totally unexpected.
7 years ago Brian made the move to Melbourne. It wasn’t long before the young Irishman found himself falling in love with the local scene and its biggest charm, Revolver: ’I was instantly hooked with the music scene here. So diverse – and so many sounds to suit any ear. It sucked me in.’ The admiration turned into adoration.
The Brian Fantana-sound can be hard to pinpoint, but there is a common theme uniting the tracks in his sets: Dark, bass-heavy and emotional. Think producers like Re.you, ANNA, Kolsch, Dennis Cruz and Oliver Huntemann and you’re almost there. Now add Brian Fantana’s acumen to sew these tracks together in a unique way, and you have one of the most exciting prospects to hit the Melbourne scene in a long time.
With local support from some of Melbourne’s legends…
