SUZANNE DONISTHORPE | GUEST INTERVIEW | FORUM | LEE-ANN JOY | MON 8:30 – 10 PM

This week on the FORUM we have the wonderful Suzanne Donisthorpe.

Suzanne Donisthorpe was the producer/reporter on the ‘Books and Art’ program that was a much-admired show on the Radio National for over 23 years until early 2015 and interviewed all types of characters and personalities including Sir Roger Moore – James Bond.

Suzanne also worked on The Quiz, alongside Michael and Jane Clifton, which was an energetic panel of experts that would respond to questions in an enthusiastic, fun and humorous manner.

Suzanne is also a writer with her 2013 novel called ‘Getting Up’, published by Pan MacMillan, that was a story about a teenage graffiti artist called Rocket, that loved graffiti, his mum, and MacDonalds.

Suzanne’s career has been about books and art and bringing people together to discuss contemporary topics within the creative arts sector.

When leaving Radio National, Suzanne became the program manager for 94.9 Main FM along with producing her radio show called ArtSwank that airs every Sunday 10-12 noon; and Hear Say, every Tuesday 9-11 am, out of Main FM in Castlemaine.

Suzanne is a prolific, fun and an engaging person, and our interview is to discuss the importance of radio announcers presenting art programs within regional communities.
