Lani G (Melbourne-Australia)
Known for her infamous ‘Madasss’ warehouse parties and smouldering sets, Lani G has been a stalwart on the Australian underground scene for the last 21 years.
Starting out playing Gabba, Techno, House and Psy.  Lani only now feels she’s truly solidified her sound with a sharp, deep and dark style in all of those styles mentioned. Although her Gabba has morphed into a more palatable version of Acid Techno.  Having worked tirelessly over the last two decades, Lani is now revered as the Melbourne Rave Queen.
Independently releasing Hung Up and her own take on the massive Emmanuel Top anthem, Turkish Bazar.
Having played all over Australia for the last 15 years… Family Nightclub (Brisbane), Earthcore (Vic.), Strawberry Fields (N.S.W.), Xe54 (Melbourne), to name just a few.  Lani has also worked as a host and dj on the coveted KissFm Dance Music radio station.
Lani also plays under the guise of Lux with her live vocal show. Which incorporates choreographed dancers, visuals, and costumes.  This first lady of live vocal and djing drops original lyrics over her own original tracks and other producers tracks, creating an extension of the underground sound she’s known for.
“When I was seven I heard Human League Orchestral – Love and Dancing album. My brother had the vinyl. The album contains dub-style, largely instrumental remixes of songs from the bands album Dare. Heavy on the synths…very electro, fully mixed like a DJ would. For the next seven years I was asking myself, my mum, anyone who would listen…I wonder what the next big sound will be? I was a child. What seven year old does that? Then in 89’ I heard Stakker Humanoid. I was having a party at my house. 70 people rocked up, including these identical twin girls. They had been in London for 3 months with their parents and had come back to the arse end of the world with this recording on tape of a pirate radio station. Acid house had come to Boolarra, Victoria (Hillbilly country). I was hooked immediately. I had caught the bug”.
